WA fabricator Melbon Sheet Metal expands their capacity with the installation of the latest 6kW AMADA Laser Cutting Machine in early November 2007.
The FO-4020NT Laser is one of the most advanced laser cutting machines available in the world today and has a sheet capacity of 4 x 2 metres with dual palette loader. The machine provides a cutting capacity of up to 25mm in both mild steel and stainless steel and expands on their existing FO-3015NT 4kW laser.
The new laser complements Melbon’s fabrication facilities with the recent installation of a 220 ton, 4 metre Amada Servo Drive pressbrake in September. The new HDS 2204NT is the second hybrid drive press brake for Melbon who were the first Australian company to install a HDS 1303NT machine in 2004.
Having travelled to Japan several times and invested in four high tech Amada machines Mike Bonomelli, owner of Melbon Sheet Metal has developed the business into a state of the art cutting, punching, pressing & fabrication facility based in Welshpool, Perth, Western Australia.
