Investment Allowance to Boost Business Investment
The Rudd Government has announced a plan to boost economic activity and support jobs with a 10 per cent temporary investment allowance - UPDATE: This one-off deduction allowance has since been increased to a whopping 30% under the latest Federal Government announcement - in the form of an additional tax deduction - which will encourage important capital investment by Australian businesses.
The allowance will be in the form of an additional tax deduction equal to 30 per cent of the cost of an eligible asset. The allowance will be applicable to most new tangible depreciating assets - which includes most items of plant and equipment - over $10,000 which are acquired or ordered by the end of the current financial year.

The bi-annual AWISA expo for Cabinet & Furniture Makers was held from 2 to the 5 July at Darling Harbour, Sydney Exhibition Centre.
With 209 sq. metres of floor space, Ron Mack Machinery demonstrated some of the latest in hi-tech flat bed routers and the new 8 tonne TechnoWrap HP Press for High Definition Vinyl Wrapping of Cabinet Doors. The other star performers of our show were the C-Nest 4100 full sheet router which includes a Board Lifting Crane & Parametric Software. The Busellato High Speed Router complete with multi-head drilling was also kept busy running a variety of complex nested cabinet sets and curved door panels.
Also very popular were the latest in SC Series Panel Saws and ALA Series Edgebanders from Casadei, several of which were snapped up by eager cabinet makers during the 4 days of the show.
Our Italian made range of Bi-Matic Edgebanders were also on show. Offering outstanding value for money; they continue to be in strong demand nation-wide. Also Italian made, we displayed the range on OMGA Mitre Saws and an RN450 Radial Arm Saw. These sturdy machines continue to be solid sellers to both the solid timber and aluminium door, window & display system industries.
Austech 2008 in Darling Harbour showcased all the latest in CNC Machinery for Metal Fabricators & Machinists
Held from the 27 - 30 May 2008, Sydney Exhibition & Convention Centre. Stand D50. We demonstrated some of the latest in our CNC machinery range including the new GS-2600Y Y-Axis CNC Lathe from Goodway and our new 6 +1 Axis PR6C CNC Pressbrake.
Also featured were Plate & Section Rolls from AKBEND. We look forward to exhibiting in Melbourne at Austech 2009.

Bianco's FICEP Processing Plant Completed
Ron Mack Machinery is pleased to announce that Bianco's new Structural Steel Processing Plant was completed in November 2007.
The new factory, is one of the most innovative steel fabricating facilities in Australia and is a virtual FICEP showroom with a viewing gallery incorporated into the perimeter of the building design above the crane level.
